Fire damages Wilmington home

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (7/6/2017) Fire damaged a Wilmington row home on Wednesday, authorities said.

The blaze in a second-floor bedroom at 1217 Pleasant St. was reported at 12:17 p.m. 

Smoke was showing when Wilmington firefighters arrived. They placed the fire under control at 12:29 p.m.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire, said Deputy Chief James R. Jobes.

The tenants were working with the building owner for housing arrangements, he said.

The Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
