24-year-old man shot in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (6/14/2017) A 24-year-old man was wounded in the lower back and buttocks in a Wilmington shooting, city police said.

The shooting happened about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of W. 29th St.

Police found the victim in the 400 block, where he was treated by New Castle County paramedics and then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. He was in stable condition, police said.

Police said they had no suspect information and asked anyone with tips to call  Detective Jordan Merced at 302-576-3637.
