39-year-old man shot multiple times in Wilmington dies

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (5/6/23017) A 39-year-old man who was shot multiple times in Wilmington on Friday night later died at a hospital, city police said this morning.

The shooting happened shortly before 8 p.m. at Second and Van Buren streets.

The victim was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics for wounds to his head and torso. He then was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.

City police are still investigating and asked anyone with information to call Detective Mary Quinn at 302-576-3620.
