WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/26/2017) A 29-year-old man shot in the upper torso in Wilmington on Tuesday night has died of his injuries, city police said this morning.
The shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Maryland Ave.
The victim was identified as Brian Brooks of Wilmington
Officers responding to reports of shots fired found the wounded man on the porch of a home.
Brooks was treated by New Castle County paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.
Police asked anyone with information on the shooting to call Detective Brian Conkey at 302-576-3660.
