Car crashed into 7-Eleven store on Gov. Printz Boulevard. (Photo: Delaware State Police)EDGEMOOR, DELAWARE (1/26/2017) Delaware State Police are searching for a car that crashed into a 7-Eleven store in Edgemoor, then drove off.

The collision happened about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at 4865 Gov. Printz Blvd.

Police said they don’t know why the driver of the maroon Honda, attempting to park in the front lot of the store, continued forward through the front of the building. The car struck the sales counter and caused significant damage.

The driver then reversed the car and fled south on the boulevard.

No one in the store was injured.

Police said the car may have a temporary Delaware registration tag. The car was occupied by two females and police said the vehicle likely has heavy front-end damage.
