NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (12/28/2016) A 53-year-old man shot in the Garfield Park community near New Castle was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, New Castle County police said today.
The incident happened about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in the first block of Karlyn Drive.
The homicide victim was identified as Lonnie M. Dixon.
He was found with an apparent gunshot wound after police responded to a report of shots fired in the area, Officer John-Paul Piser said.
