Teen shot to death in Brandywine Hundred is identified

BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, DELAWARE (11/9/2016) A 17-year-old boy shot Tuesday at the Stoneybrook Apartments complex in Brandywine Hundred died from his wounds, the New Castle County police said today.

The shooting happened about 1:25 p.m. in the 200 block of Dewey Court.

The boy, identified as Ismail Majid, who lived on the block, was shot in the upper torso. He was taken by ambulance to Nemours/A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Rockland. 

Majid was pronounced dead at 2:36 p.m., Cpl. Tracey Duffy said.

“Investigators are not currently searching for a suspect, but ask if you have any surveillance footage of the area and/or information pertaining to this investigation, please contact New Castle County police at (302) 573-2800,” Duffy said.
