Serpe’s Bakery reopens after fire

ELSMERE, DELAWARE (10/28/2016) Serpe and Sons Bakery reopened at 7 this morning, rebuilt following a fire that heavily damaged the landmark building on Christmas Eve 2015. 

An Elsmere Fire Company ladder truck was on hand this morning at 1411 Kirkwood Highway to help mark the occasion.

Serpe and Sons Bakery was established on North Madison Street in Wilmington in 1952, and moved to its current location in 1964, according to the company’s website, and supplies many local restaurants.
