Motorcyclist critically injured in Wilmington crash

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (10/17/2016) A motorcyclist was critically injured this afternoon when his bike collided with a car in northeast Wilmington, according to reports from the scene.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m. at 28th Street and Northeast Boulevard.

The male motorcyclist was flown by Delaware State Police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.

The driver of the sedan was taken by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries.

Northeast Boulevard was closed as Wilmington police investigated the crash.
