CHRISTIANA, DELAWARE (9/21/2016) Bridge repairs will reduce northbound Interstate 95 from four to three lanes at the bridge over Routes 1 and 7, the Delaware Department of Transportation announced today.

The work is to begin Oct. 1 and take about 45 days.

Motorists should use caution and expect lane shifts in the area, DelDOT said.

The contractor, Mumford & Miller Concrete Inc., will use precast deck panels instead of cast-in-place concrete to help expedite the work.

After all four lanes are restored, additional work including painting and minor repairs will take place.
