NEWARK, DELAWARE (8/31/2016) A motorcyclist was in serious condition after colliding with an Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company ambulance responding to an emergency call late Monday night, according to reports from the scene.
It happened about midnight at Elkton Road and Thorn Lane.
The motorcycle rider, a man believed to be in his 40s, was taken to Christiana Hospital in Stanton with head injuries.
Newark police are investigating the crash.
