Man injured in Talleyville bicycle crash

TALLEYVILLE, DELAWARE (8/22/2016) A 52-year-old man was injured when his bicycle was struck at Concord Pike (U.S. 202) and Silverside Road on Sunday, authorities said.

The crash at the Talleyville intersection happened about 6:20 p.m., said Cpl. David J. McKinney Jr. of New Castle County paramedics.

The man, who was wearing a helmet, was treated for scrapes and cuts to his head, then taken by Talleyville Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. He was in stable condition, McKinney said.

The crash is under investigation by Delaware State Police.
