SMYRNA, DELAWARE (8/10/2016) A 51-year-old Dover woman has died following a motorcycle crash on Route 1, Delaware State Police said today.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. Sunday on the southbound side in the area of exit 119 (north Smyrna) and caused major traffic problems on the highway.
Kimberly Smith was a passenger on the bike being operated by her brother. She was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover, where she died of her crash injuries shortly before 3:30 p.m. Monday, police said.
