NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (7/20/2016) A woman was in serious condition after being struck by a pickup truck near New Castle, authorities said.
The incident happened about 6:10 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. 13 (North DuPont Highway) and Boulden Boulevard intersection.
The victim, believed to be in her 70s, was treated for possible hip and arm injuries, then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, said Sgt. Abigail E. Haas of New Castle County paramedics.
Delaware State Police are investigating.
Wilmington Manor Fire company also responded.
