Hundreds lose power after storms

DELAWARE (7/9/2016) Hundreds of Delmarva Power customers remained without power after 10 tonight following thunderstorms across New Castle County.

The utility says some customers may not have service restored until Sunday morning.

Most of the outages remaining were scattered across New Castle County, with a few in other areas served by Delmarva.

The Prices Corner area received 1.64 inches of rain today between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., according to the Delaware Environmental Observing System.

Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high about 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
