36-year-old man shot in neck in Bear

BEAR, DELAWARE (7/6/2016) A 36-year-old man was shot in the Sparrow Run community in Bear on Tuesday night, according to New Castle County police.

The man was found about 10:30 p.m. inside a car in the first block of Raven Turn.

The passenger-side window had been blown out.

The man had been shot in the neck, according to reports from the scene, and was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.

Police said he was treated and released.

Cpl. Tracey Duffy said detectives are still investigating the shooting and asked anyone with information to call police at 302-573-2800.
