EDGEMOOR, DELAWARE (7/3/2016) One person was shot to death in the Gordon Heights community and another wounded, New Castle County police said.
Police went to the 200 block of Chestnut Ave. about 9 a.m. Saturday after a report of a female screaming.
The female was pronounced dead at the scene and her death ruled a homicide, Officer First Class John-Paul Piser said. The male was taken by ambulance to a hospital and was reported in grave condition.
Detectives recovered a handgun in the area of the male.
“Detectives advised that the investigation does not cause concern for public safety,” Piser said, and they are not searching for any suspects.
