Gunman robs Bear BP gas station

BEAR, DELAWARE (6/27/2016) A Bear BP gas station was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, the Delaware State Police reported this morning.

The robbery happened about 7 p.m. at 3596 Wrangle Hill Road (Route 72), at the intersection with Red Lion Road (Route 71) in the Williamsburg area.

Armed with a handgun, the robber demanded money and cigarettes from the store clerk. He complied and the robber fled on foot outside and toward the rear of the building.

No one was injured.

The robber was described as a white male, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-10, and weighing 175-200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey sweat pants and black-and-white sneakers.
