Glasgow burglar flees after homeowners wake up

GLASGOW, DELAWARE (6/27/2016) A burglar fled early today after being confronted by the homeowners who were awakened by a noise downstairs,, New Castle County police said.

The crime happened about 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Autumn Horseshoe Bend in the Four Seasons community.

A woman was asleep in her bed and after hearing the noise, she and her husband went to the top of the stairs and saw the burglar downstairs in the living room. The burglar fled through the kitchen.

Officers found a broken window in the rear of the home consistent with a break-in, Cpl. Tracey Duffy said.

A K-9 tracked the burglar and officers recovered some of the stolen property, Duffy said.
