15-year-old boy shot in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (6/27/2016) A 15-year-old boy was wounded by gunfire late Sunday night, Wilmington police said this morning.

The shooting happened about 11:25 p.m. at 27th and Moore streets.

Police found the victim in the 2600 block of N. Market St. with a gunshot wound in his upper right arm.

He was taken by ambulance to Nemours/A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children.

Police said they are still investigating and asked anyone with information to call Detective P. Simmons at 576-3634.
