BEAR, DELAWARE (6/27/2016) An armed carjacker in Bear forced a 29-year-old man to drive to several ATMs to remove money early today, New Castle County police said.

The carjacking happened about 12:15 a.m. in the 400 block of N. Barrett Lane at The Village of Barrett’s Run apartments.

The victim told police he was removing items from his car, a blue Ford Fusion with Delaware registration 334014, when the carjacker forced him to drive to the ATMs, ending up at University Plaza, Cpl. Tracey Duffy said.

The victim was then ordered to drive to Old Baltimore Pike and the carjacker ordered him out in the Christiana Green community after taking his money and other items, Duffy said.

The carjacker fled with the Ford on Martha Washington Avenue. He was described as 5-feet-9, of unknown race, with a black hair and a dark hat.
