2 arrested in Dover Mall carjacking

DOVER, DELAWARE (6/15/2016) Two people have been arrested in connection with a carjacking last week near Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Dover Mall, city police said today.

The two suspects were identified based on witness accounts from the Milford area where the car was later abandoned after the carjacking June 8, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

Benjamin Beyer, 22, and Taylor Cox, 21, were both charged with first-degree carjacking and second-degree conspiracy.

Beyer was being held at Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna in lieu of $62,000 secured bond.

Cox was being held at Baylor Women’s Correctional Center near New Castle in lieu of $62,000 secured bond.
