NORTH STAR, DELAWARE (5/23/2016) A 16-year-old boy was in serious condition after being trapped in his vehicle following a crash in North Star on Sunday, authorities said.
The accident was reported at 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of Little Baltimore Road and Jacks Lane/Verbana Drive.
It took Hockessin firefighters less than 20 minutes to cut the boy out of the wreckage, said Sgt. Abigail E. Haas of New Castle County paramedics.
He was treated for a head injury, then flown by Delaware State Police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.
New Castle County police are investigating the crash.
