Bystander shot in Dover

DOVER, DELAWARE (5/15/2016) An 18-year-old woman was shot early today when gunfire broke out during a fight between two men, Dover police said.

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. on Fulton Street between Queen and New streets.

A crowd had gathered and when the fight broke out, one man pulled a gun and fired at the other man, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said, with a bullet striking the woman in the hip. She was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and released.

The crowd fled. Police asked anyone with information to call 302- 736-7130.
