TOWNSEND, DELAWARE (4/22/2016) A man shot to death inside a home west of Townsend this morning has been identified by Delaware State Police.
The shooting was reported at 3:42 a.m. in the 500 block of Dogtown Road.
Police said two armed persons entered the home and fought with two male residents and one of the residents, 28-year-old Joshua James, was shot during the fight.
The two with weapons then fled.
Emergency medical crews performed advanced lifesaving on James but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be performed by the Division of Forensic Science.
