Woman charged in assault on man, teenage girl

DOVER, DELAWARE (4/18/2016) A 36-year-old woman was charged in an assault on a 27-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl Sunday afternoon, Dover police said this morning.

The incident happened about 1:50 p.m. at a home in the first block of Heritage Drive.

Police said Tasha Ricks had cut the man with a large kitchen knife during an argument and choked the girl.

Ricks was charged with second-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, strangulation, seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child and offensive touching.

She was released after posting $38,750 secured bond, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
