UPDATED STORY: Police release names of two found dead in home near Newport
NEWPORT, DELAWARE (4/13/2016) New Castle County police are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found in a home east of Newport this afternoon.
Officers were sent to the home in the 300 block of E. Highland Ave., in the Lyndalia community, about 3 p.m. after a neighbor called police and asked they check on the welfare of her elderly neighbors.
The officers entered the home through an unsecured window and found the elderly man and woman dead inside, Cpl. Tracey Duffy said.
She asked anyone with information on the deaths to call police at 302-573-2800.
