1 injured after Wilmington home collapses

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (3/2/2016) A row home collapsed in Wilmington this morning, according to reports from the scene.

One neighbor in the middle of the 1100 block of N. Heald St., startled by the noise, fell while running away and was injured.

Adjacent homes were evacuated as city licensing and inspection crews evaluated the damage.

Delmarva Power also was on the scene.

No one was believed to be in the home at the time. Repairs had been underway prior to the collapse.
