BEAR, DELAWARE (2/12/2016) A man walking along Salem Church Road in Bear was robbed at gunpoint, Delaware State Police said Thursday.
The robbery about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday happened just north of U.S. 40 (Pulaski Highway) and shortly after the victim had withdrawn money from an ATM.
A maroon SUV pulled in front of the pedestrian and a masked man got out of the passenger seat and demanded money. The victim turned over cash and the robber fled in the SUV south on Salem Church Road.
The victim was not injured, police said.
The robber was described as black, 20-25 years old, 5-feet-9 to 5-feet-11 and 150-170 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.
The driver was black and 25-30 years old, police said.
