WSFS Bank robbed on Route 1 near Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (2/8/2016) A man robbed a WSFS Bank branch near Rehoboth Beach this afternoon, Delaware State Police said.

The robbery happened about 1:55 p.m. at 19335 Coastal Highway (Route 1).

Police said the man handed a teller a note demanding cash and she turned over an undisclosed amount. The robber fled and the teller wasn’t injured.

No weapon was shown.

The robber was described as white, 25-30 years old and 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-8. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a tan coat and blue jeans.

Police released surveillance images and asked anyone with information on the man to call Detective J. Rowley at 302-752-3801.
