WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (1/12/2016) A 41-year-old man was shot in the buttocks during a struggle with two people trying to rob him Monday night, city police said this morning.
The incident happened about 9:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of W. Second St.
Officers already at St. Francis Hospital on another investigation encountered the victim when he arrived there via personal vehicle.
The man said he was approached by two people, with one showing a handgun and demanding his property.
“A struggle ensued at which point one of the suspects shot the victim and fled the area on foot,” police said in a news release.
