Dover liquor store robbed at gunpoint

DOVER, DELAWARE (1/2/2016) A Dover liquor store was robbed at gunpoint, city police reported this morning.

The crime happened about 8:35 p.m. Friday at Super 9 Liquors, 348 N. DuPont Highway (U.S. 13).

The robber pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, police said, handing a white pillowcase to the clerk in which to place the cash.

The clerk complied and the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber was described as a black male, 5-feet-10 and with average build. He wore dark clothing with a dark face cover or mask and white sneakers that may have had red or orange markings.
