WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (12/16/2015) A fire ripped through the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church this evening, collapsing the building at 601 Vandever Ave., according to reports from the scene.
The two-alarm blaze was reported about 7 p.m. It was the second fire this month at the church, which is at the corner of North Pine Street.
One firefighter was injured, apparently while evacuating the building before it collapsed, and was taken to a hospital.
The city Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the blaze.
