Car rear-ends school bus near Laurel

LAUREL, DELAWARE (11/6/2015) The driver of a car suffered minor injuries when her car rear-ended a school bus near Laurel on Thursday, the Delaware State Police said.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m. on Shiloh Church Road at Chipmans Pond Road.

Jami Baker, 22, of Laurel, was driving a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero eastbound when she struck the rear of the Laurel School District bus that was stopped at a stop sign. Police cited her for following too closely. She was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.

The driver of the bus, Pamela Johnson, 53, of Laurel, and six students aboard were not injured.
