MILFORD, DELAWARE (11/3/2015) A 47-year-old Milford woman was injured this morning when her SUV struck the rear of a school bus stopping for students, Delaware State Police said.
The accident happened about 6:45 a.m. on Old Shawnee Road near Meadow Brook Lane.
Wendy Lewis was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV southbound when it hit the bus, which police said had its lights changing from yellow to red as it prepared to pick up students at a bus stop.
Lewis was taken by ambulance to Milford Memorial Hospital for injuries police said were not life-threatening.
The driver of the bus, Chelsea Carr, 27, of Milford, and a 16-year-old on the bus were not injured.
