NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (10/29/2015) Flooding along Nonesuch Creek has closed Airport Road near New Castle this morning, DelDOT reports.
One car became stranded in the water and had to be towed out, according to reports from the scene, and was the driver was ticketed by state troopers.
As much as 2.3 inches of rain was measured in New Castle County over the past 24 hours as of this morning.
Fair weather is predicted until Sunday, when there’s a chance of rain.
National Weather Service advisories for tidal flooding in coastal areas have expired and the flooding is expected to ease.
