UPDATED STORY: 3 charged in string of robberies
BROOKSIDE, DELAWARE (10/19/2015) A Wawa convenience store at Routes 4 and 72 was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday, the Delaware State Police said.
The robbery happened about 3:30 a.m. at the East Chestnut Hill Road and South Chapel Street intersection.
The two robbers with handguns confronted three clerks at the front counter and they turned over cash. The robbers fled on foot and no one was injured.
Both robbers were male and about 5-feet-11 and weighing 150-170 pounds. Both had their faces covered and were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. One wore dark pants.
