MILFORD, DELAWARE (10/8/2015) Delaware State Police say tips from the public helped lead to the arrest of a Frederica man in the robbery of a Shore Stop gas station on Route 1 (Bay Road) and another in Harrington.

The robbery happened about 7:10 p.m. Friday at 1885 Bay Road, at the intersection with Cicada Lane.

A man confronted a female employee who was behind the counter, first asked for a pack of cigarettes and when she opened the cash register, he implied he had a weapon and demanded cash.

The clerk was not injured. The robber fled toward Cicada Lane.

Justin R. McGaha, 31, of the first block of Hillside Ave., was arrested Tuesday. Police said a search of his home found numerous items including clothing used during the robberies.

McGaha, charged with first-degree robbery, was being held at Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna in lieu of $30,000 cash bond.
