3 hurt after vehicle rolls over, hits barn

NORTH STAR, DELAWARE (10/7/2015) Three people were injured Tuesday when a vehicle rolled over several times and struck a barn in the 900 block of Corner Ketch Road, authorities said.

The accident happened about 1:30 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived, the occupants were out of the vehicle, said Sgt. Michael A. McColley of New Castle County paramedics.

A 22-year-old man was treated by paramedics for multiple scrapes and a possible hip injury. He was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in stable condition.

A 21-year-old man was treated for a possible head injury as well as back and abdominal pain. He was taken to Christiana in stable condition.

Another injured man refused EMS evaluation, McColley said.

New Castle County police are investigating the crash.

Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company, Mill Creek Fire Company and Hockessin Fire Company responded.
