2 taken to hospitals after crash near New Castle

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (10/7/2015) Two people were taken to a hospital after several were injured when a van and car collided near New Castle, authorities said.

The accident happened about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lambson and Davidson lanes.

A 23-year-old woman with a possible chest injury was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, saidĀ Sgt. Michael A. McColley of New Castle County paramedics.

A 6-month-old boy with no apparent injuries was taken to Nemours/A.I. DuPont Hospital in Rockland for evaluation, McColley said.

Both were in stable condition.

The crash is being investigated by Delaware State Police.

Holloway Terrace and Minquadale fire companies responded.
