MINQUADALE, DELAWARE (9/27/2015) Vandals knocked over numerous gravestones, causing significant damage this morning at a small cemetery in Minquadale, the New Castle County police said.
The damage was reported about 8:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Wildel Ave., at the Machzikey Hadas Cemetery.
“Neighboring residents to the cemetery called to report that someone had caused the damage
overnight. The arriving patrol unit found significant damage to numerous gravestones and a
flower pot. Several gravestones were knocked over and separated from their bases and one
gravestone was cracked,” said Officer First Class Tom Jackson.
He said the dollar amount of the damage is still being determined.
