Man sought in vehicle thefts near Milford

MILFORD, DELAWARE (9/14/2015) A 36-year-old Milford man is being sought in connection with the theft of a vehicle and thefts from vehicles west of the city, Delaware State Police said.

Nathan E. Smith, who is possibly homeless, may be in Rehoboth Beach, where a stolen vehicle was recovered Saturday, state police said.

Smith is wanted on two counts of felony theft including one of theft of a motor vehicle, six counts of theft under $1,500 and four counts of criminal trespass. He also is wanted on two warrants from Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.

Police said Smith is linked to car break-ins on Milford-Harrington Highway (Route 14) and Canterbury Road (Route 15).
