24-year-old man wounded in Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (9/11/2015) A 24-year-old man was taken to Christiana Hospital after a shooting in Wilmington late Thursday, city police said this morning.

The incident happened about 11:40 p.m. at Fourth and Lombard streets, in front of the Miracle Tabernacle and a block from the Wilmington police station.

Two officers provided first aid to the victim until emergency medical crews arrived. He was then treated by New Castle County paramedics and was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police said an unknown male fled the scene on foot.
