24-year-old man arrested in Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/25/2015) A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Wilmington shooting earlier this month, city police reported this morning.

Carlos Rodriguez of Wilmington was charged with assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

The victim was an 18-year-old man who was shot in the leg about 4 p.m. Aug. 13 at Pleasant and Van Buren streets. The victim was in stable condition, police said at the time, after being taken to St. Francis Hospital.

Rodriguez was taken into custody Monday at a home in the first block of S. Broom Street
