MILTON, DELAWARE (9/1/2015) A tractor-trailer carrying live chickens overturned north of Milton this morning, closing Route 5 between Reynolds Pond and Draper roads, Delaware State Police said.

The crash happened about 8:35 a.m. on a curve at the entrance to the Sunland Ranch development as the truck was southbound on Union Street Extended (Route 5).

The 43-year-old man who was driving was not hurt, police said.

Delays are expected in the area while police investigate the crash and the wreckage is cleared.
