

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/27/2015) Five teenage boys were arrested after officers stopped a vehicle and discovered two handguns inside, Wilmington police said Wednesday.
The incident happened about 1 p.m. Tuesday as officers Robert DiRocco and Domingo Velasquez were patrolling in the 1200 block of Northeast Blvd. and stopped a gold Ford for a traffic citation.
A Ruger .380 caliber handgun loaded with eight rounds of ammunition and a Beretta .22 caliber model 21A-22 with five rounds were found under the front passenger seat, police said.
Three 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds were charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited-juvenile, two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon and conspiracy.
Two of the 17-year-olds were charged additionally for possessing weapons after a previous violent felony convictions.
The 16-year-old driver was also charged with improper display of a registration plate.
Four of the teens were committed to the New Castle County Detention Center in lieu of $42,000 cash bail, and the fifth, one of the 16 year old boys, was committed to the detention facility in lieu of $84,000 cash bail.
