Tips sought on Charcoal Pit burglar

Charcoal Pit 2 Charcoal Pit 3TALLEYVILLE, DELAWARE (8/24/2015) Delaware State Police are seeking tips from the public on a burglary at the Charcoal Pit Restaurant earlier this month.

About 1:45 a.m. Aug. 16, a male about 5-feet-7 and 180 pounds broke into the restaurant at 2600 Concord Pike.

The business was closed at the time, police said, and the burglar spent more than three hours trying to break into a safe in the office area. He was unsuccessful, however, and fled without taking any property.

Anyone with information on the burglar is asked to call Detective William Harris at 302-365-8428.
