NEWARK, DELAWARE (8/13/2015) Gunfire erupted in the Scottfield development east of Newark late Wednesday night, striking a truck and a home, New Castle County police said this afternoon.
The incident happened about 11:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Warfield Drive.
The gunshots shattered windows in the truck, which was parked in a driveway, and one continued into a home across the street and was found lodged in a couch, Officer First Class Tracey Duffy said.
No injuries were reported.
Duffy said witnesses reported seeing three white males fleeing in a dark sedan shortly after hearing the gunshots.
