Teen bicycle bandits knock out, rob 50-year-old man

Dover PDDOVER, DELAWARE (8/10/2015) Two teenagers riding bicycles knocked out and robbed a 50-year-old man, Dover police reported today.

The crime was reported at 12:03 a.m. Saturday at East Division Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

The man was walking in the area when the pair approached, said “hello,” and then struck the man in the head, knocking him unconscious. They took an undisclosed amount of cash from his wallet and fled.

The robbers were described as white males, 16-17 years old. One was wearing a lime green shirt, tan shorts, and riding a red BMX-style bike. The second was wearing a navy blue shirt with a blue BMX-style bike.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police at (302)736-7111.
