Newark man charged in home invasion near Townsend

TOWNSEND, DELAWARE (8/10/2015) Delaware State Police  say they have charged a Newark man in a home invasion robbery in which a woman was shot and a man assaulted along U.S. 13 near Townsend in May.

Marshall C. Brown, 32, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Miami, Florida, where police said he had fled after the home invasion, and was extradited to Delaware.

State police said he was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of first-degree robbery,  first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, home invasion, burglary, criminal impersonation, wearing a disguise during commission of a felony, aggravated menacing and conspiracy.

Brown was being held at Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington in lieu of $361,000 cash bail.

Police said their investigation into the home invasion is continuing and asked anyone with information to call
